Giant Manta Ray

“Manta” is Spanish for “cloak” which refers to the Giant Manta Ray's large blanket-shaped body. Similar to our human fingerprints, each manta ray has a unique pattern of spots and blotches that helps researchers identify each individual manta ray. In other words, no two bellies are alike.
