Not seen since 32 years ago in 1982, the Supermoon has once again coincided with a lunar eclipse on September 27th 2015, as well as with the harvest moon. With the moon being closer in its oval orbit to the sun by an extra 20,000 miles, the moon appears larger. The next combination of a superman and total lunar eclipse won't happen again until 2033.
At Joshua Tree National Park, we were treated to a stunning partial eclipse rising above the horizon, which then progressed to quite a lengthy full eclipse.
