Lupin, Fiordland, New Zealand

In New Zealand, the lupin (aka Russell lupin, Lupinus polyphyllus) is an invasive species that threatens indigenous species, especially when it invades the braided river beds in the South Island. They are widespread in early summer along roadsides in Cantebury, and along river beds in Fiordland.
